Letter from the president
Wishing all our Women In Focus ladies a very Happy New Year filled with lots of love, laughter and fun.
It was a fantastic 23rd year for WIF. We began 2016 with our Women's Month exhibit at the library in March, plus we invited our two sister groups in Chicago and St. Louis and had a special display of their images in the glass display cases on the main floor of the library.
Field trips were in downtown Atlanta, the Goat Farm, we shot smalls at All-Stitch Studio, had a special Friday morning at the High Museum with Brett Abbott, visited Old Car City and ended with a cityscape at Atlantic Station and full moon at the Millennium Gate Building.
We had many great speakers and judges who presided over monthly meetings. And several off campus meetings, Lumiere Gallery, Tracy's Studio at the Goat Farm and High Museum.
We had two ACP exhibits during October. At Bill Lowe Gallery we were honored to have Anne Dennington and Bill Lowe judge our images for the first time. Had a great exhibit at Digital Arts Studio, our favorite sponsor and we sold three images.
To close out 2016, our Annual Holiday Party and print Swap was celebrated at Brio.
We want to thank our 2016 WIF Board Members for all their volunteer hours. They are VP Carolyn, Secretary Val, Treasure Kaneesha, Web Vandreena, social media Debora, our newsletter Janet, and Niki our Exhibit Chair.
We are looking forward to a great year in 2017.
